Mmmm

I'm craving some fish & chips. Unfortunately, the only ones that would do the trick are from Greenwich Village in NY. Someone please go to A Salt and Battery for me. I only recommend these because it would be a lot harder to go to the UK for authentic fish & chips.

Me, I'm craving a mesquite-roasted veggie dog from Jerry's Dogs on 17th and Tustin. They have a kajillion toppings, but I want mine Chicago-style, just with Cleveland mustard instead. I convinced my friend to come with me tonight!!! Yum!!!

I live in central London above one of the best fish and chips shops in the city. Ironically I also used to live in Manhattan right around the corner from A Salt and Battery, which is actually better. Hmmmm, beer battered fish!

Really, A Salt and Battery is better? Wow! It's been about 9 years since I've had proper fish & chips from the UK, so I might have a romantic ideal of what they should taste like. I really enjoyed A Salt and Battery - unfortunately I'm in California.

i had fish and chips on the cruiseship and guess what? they were AWFUL!!!

It's very hard to get good fish & chips in the US. Some are good, but they are not the same as the authentic stuff. It's like comparing Taco Bell to real Mexican food - they each might be good in their own category but you can't compare to each other.

If it's authentic fish & chips, then malt vinegar for sure. Otherwsie, I need tartar sauce to help get the other stuff down.

Vinegar...gotta go with the Glaswegians on this one. Though that brown sauce they use in Edinburgh is not too bad.
